Description

Landscape of woods and Mount Chocorua looking across the lake. Mount Chocorua and Chocorua Lake are on the left side of the painting. Along the lake border are rocks and a few shrubs. The middle and right portion of the painting is of the woods with an opening next to the lake where a man and his dog are standing. The two tallest trees are located in the center. Many of the trees have leaves on the top branches, with the lower branches appearing to be dead. The sun is either rising or setting as it has cast a red hue on some of the trees and Mount Chocorua.
