Oil on board painting, titled "Mount Washington" painted in 1930 by Leroy R. Woodard. View of the summit of the mountain from an unknown vantagepoint. Signed and dated by the artist. The painting is encased in a thick gold frame.
The artist, Leroy R. Woodard was born in 1903 in Brockton, MA. Active in the Randolph Mountain Club, he established an art studio in the Old Town Hall attic in Randolph, NH. In addition to his art, he also designed the travel brochure for the town and the original Randolph highway sign, as well as signs for Crag Camp and the Perch. Woodard also painted a round watercolor of Madison and Adams, which is still used today as the logo for the Randolph Mountain Club.Collection
