Description

Small hand-sampled piece of schist. Types of this rock (Littleton Formation) are found at and make up the Rumney cliffs. This Schist is about 400 million years old. Collected by two well-trained geology students for the 2014 "Beyond Granite" exhibition at MWM. Part of a complete (or at least comprehensive) hand-sample collection of all the rocks of the White Mountains.
