Small hand-sampled piece of Conway Granite. This type of granite is found at, and makes up, the Whitehorse Ledge. This sample is about 180 million years old. Collected by two well-trained geology students for the 2014 "Beyond Granite" exhibition at MWM. Part of a complete (or at least comprehensive) hand-sample collection of all the rocks of the White Mountains.Acquisition
