Description

Small hand-sampled piece of Kingsman Granodiorite. This sample contains large crystals of potassium feldspar. This Kingsman Granodiorite is about 410 million years old. Collected by two well-trained geology students for the 2014 "Beyond Granite" exhibition at MWM. Part of a complete (or at least comprehensive) hand-sample collection of all the rocks of the White Mountains.
