Statement from the artist:
This view is of the village center covered by a bank of thick fog. It came from the deck of a house on the south side of Stinson Mountain. It had to be made when conditions were just right. I got a one ring alert/call one morning at dawn to come up. Technically, making the plate, responding to the texture of fog was quite a task. It was made by employing a series of layered aquatints to achieve a soft graduated tone on the copper plate.Acquisition
