Description

Statement from the artist: This is the West Rumney Fire House, it is still in use. The primary fire station is large block-built building that can house all the trucks and equipment. It was a huge improvement over the time when it was in the Grange Hall. The fire referenced in the poem was the destruction of the Lotus Moon restaurant, which was in one of the old, statuesque hotels on the corner of Depot/School Street and the Village Road.
