Transcription: "Many thanks for the tokens of rememberance of the 12th. Glad there was someone who thought of it enough to remind us of the fact. I squeezed the envelope opne and could not imagine what those toothpicks were in that letter for but soon learned whan I pulled the letter out. Hope to get up the courage to write a letter soon.
