Description

Two boulders frame a body of water and a hill or mountain. The boulders each take up about 1/4 of the image from the left and right and the water is almost half of the image from the bottom. The hill covers about half of the image, but does not reach the top of the frame, for above the hill is a strip of sky. The hill is covered in trees, some of which appear to be pine. Vegetation emerges from the boulder on the right-hand side of the image as well as from between the boulders, protruding into the water area of the image.

Condition

Notes

The emulsion is cracking and peeling away far into the left-hand side of the image, which obscures some of the boulder, the water, and the hill. There appears to be some scratching to the glass plate along the top and bottom of the image. Marked with the numbers "575" in the lower left-hand corner.
