Description

Winter scene. Road bisects the image vertically, running away from the viewer into the distance. Trees covered in snow line each side of the road. Appears to be a stone wall on the right-hand side of the road. Road is made of dirt and there is a puddle near to the viewer, as well as many wheel tracks all along the road. At the left-hand side of the road in the middle ground a person is standing at a tripod. To the figure's left is a child who may be looking at the photographer of this image. Further down the road appears another figure, which may be the subject of the photographer in this image.

Emulsion has cracked in the upper right hand corner and along the top edge, as well as in one spot in the right quarter of the image. Overall image is still easy to make out. "561" written in lower right hand corner of image, appears reversed.
