Description

In the center of the image a woman sits in a wooden chair, surrounded by grass, holding a large white cat. The woman wears a patterned dress, and her hair is pulled back and there is a cap of some sort on her head. She looks directly at the camera. Behind her, a large vine-covered enclosure frames her and continues to the left of the image. To the right of the image are a couple of trees and hills in the background, and in the foreground stands a man with his left arm resting on a post and what may be a dog at his feet on his left-hand side. This image may have been taken in North Conway, where White had his studio.
