Description

In the foreground are large trees and tracks in the snow running diagonally from left to right. They may have been made by two (or four) wheels spaced very close together. There are also some tracks as though someone got out (or off) and then back on, because there are only four depressions in the snow. In the background is a mountain, which has some trees but not at its snow-capped peak.

Some loss of emulsion along the top of the plate and quite a bit of loss and abraision along the bottom of the plate and almost into the right corner. There is also pitting and abraision throughout the image. The number 540 is written in the lower right corner.
