Description

Image is dominated by the top of a large boulder or rock-topped hill in the left of the foreground and a forest in the fore- and middlegrounds. There are a few birch trees just beyond the boulder. In the right of the middleground is a cleared area in the trees, and in the background a cleared strip of land with some houses and buildings is visible. Beyond that, a range of many mountains rises to the sky.

There has been some cracking and loss of emulsion along the top of the plate, and there is some abrasion throughout. There are also two lines, again, through the bottom third of the plate horizontally. Otherwise the plate is in good condition and the image is not obscured. The number written in the lower right corner appears to be 70.
