Description

The Saco River cuts through a landscape that includes some trees in the middle ground to the right and left, and a grassy embankment to the right and a sandy beach to the left. The river turns toward the left of the image and in the background also seems to come from the left. In the background are more trees. The image may have been taken in North Conway, where White had his studio.
