MWM2010.0001.2991Description
View of a house done in the carpenter gothic architectural style (also known as the rural gothic style). Typical with the carpenter gothic characteristics there are profusions of jig-sawn details, board and batten siding, and steep gables. The doors and the majority of the windows are closed and covered with shutters. The windows on the bottom left hand side of the house are visible. Topping the steeple is a weather vane. The house is covered, particularly on the larger steeple, with a climbing plant. There are two rocks on the right side of the image and trees in the background.Collection
