A series of several granite ledges on the side of Cannon Mountain creates a man's profile, giving it the name "The Old Man of the Mountain". With many legends about its creation surrounding the rock formation, it became a state landmark and treasure to many New Hampshire residents. It fell May 3, 2003. In the picture, the image is framed by trees and the Old Man can be seen facing left off the side of the mountain. On the back, is written "Old Man of the Mountains, N.H., 9/89"Collection
