Description

Based on the true story of the artist's grandparents, Robert and Lucia Whitehill who were caught in the hurricane of September 29, 1915 and stranded at the Lake-of-the-Clouds hut just below the summit of Mount Washington until the storm passed. Based on a detailed account by the artist's grandfather. Physical Description: 32 p. : 3.5 in x 6 in. Contains fourteen linocut images, seven of which are foldouts. Printed map slipped into pocket on back pastedown. Case bound in cloth over boards with a recessed title on the front cover and a wrap-around flap closure.
