Description

This glass plate negative is possibly a cyanotype, given the blue tint of the image or it may be damage. The image depicts a woman walking along a road leading towards the Spring House at The Balsams Hotel. The Spring House is set into the hillside on the edge of the entrance drive and not far from Route 26. It is a gabled structure set on a base of stacked, flat stones. The roof of the gable is covered with wooden shingles. In the background are mountains. Undated.
