View of the Bartlett House burning. The hotel was originally known as The Cave Mountain House; it burned in 1905 and was rebuilt as The Howard Hotel. The hotel was eventually renamed the Bartlett Hotel. It operated until 1989 when it was destroyed by fire caused by thawing pipes
