Scope and Content

Color picture of the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway with a car just passing one of the towers, and carrying passengers up the mountain during the summer. Echo Lake and greenery are seen in the background. A description on the back states, "First to be erected on the North American Continent. Tramcars, which are suspended from steel cables hung on three massive towers, give a continuous ride of over a mile with ascent of 2,022 feet in less than eight minutes. The view from the Summit includes the Green Mts. of Vermont, Canadian Peaks, Franconia, Ossipee and Belknap Ranges, also Mt. Moosilauke."
