Photograph taken by Richard J. Scheffler on Anvers Island, Antarctica (Palmer Station) in February of 2003. Mr. Scheffler was on a Lindblad Expeditions trip on the vessel Endeavour. Photographs were taken with a Minolta Dimage 7Hi digital camera. This photograph shows other passengers from the ship, standing outside the main building at Palmer Station, which also has a small gift shop. Mr. Scheffler's notes say "large enough for 1/2 dozen visitors at a time."Collection
