Description

Overshot coverlet; undyed cotton and red wool. Center seam joins two panels and is slightly askew so the pattern does not match. Selvedges on either side. Hems on top and bottom are narrow rolled. Central motif consists of a small checkered table alternating with a wavy ovoid shape created by staggering blocks. The optical pattern runs diagonally.
