Star work coverlet in two unseamed panels; undyed cotton and blue, green, and red wool, currently in two pieces. Selvedge on one side. Top and bottom hem has been rolled to the front. The tape from an applied fringe, which has been cut off, remains along one selvedge and bottom on the face of the fabric. The center motif of the star and diamond structure is an eight-pointed star enclosed in a circle; a smaller star is inserted in the space created by the intersection of four adjacent circles. Each weft color change occurs at the completion of a star motif. Border is the larger star motif which has been reduced proportionally.Collection
