Figured coverlet; undyed and blue cotton and red and blue wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Center seam joins two panels. Top edge is hemmed, sides and bottom are fringed. Central motif consists of alternating stripes. The red stripe has a series of four rose medallions. The blue stripe contains stars within a snowflake-like structure. The stars connect by means of a floral leaf design. Border has a bird and tree motif. Secondary border is a repeated eight-pointed star design, with a double row of stars on bottom.Collection
