Description

Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Center seam joins two panels. Selvedges on sides; hems at top and bottom. Central motif consists of large snowflake medallions alternating with a four-leafed design within a diamond shape. Outer edge of diamond has fringed leaves. Border is a stylized chain of flowers edged with a zigzag line and dots. Border is separated by rosette corner blocks.
