Description

Figured coverlet, undyed and blue cotton and blue, red, and green worsted, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Coverlet is believed to be for a crib. All four sides are hemmed with fringe applied to bottom and sides. Some fringe is missing on top left corner. Top seam is hemmed in opposite direction than other three sides. Central motif consists of two vertical patterned stripes, each containing a goose and floral motifs. Border on bottom and sides is in a zigzag pattern.
