Description

Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue wool, double cloth. Center seam joins two panels. Selvedges on either sides; top and bottom hemmed. Central motif consists of a four rose medallion design. At each corner of the medallion there is a bird. This motif is separated by rows of large starbursts, with small starbursts joining the designs. There are borders on three sides with a "snow flake" design framed by narrow borders on either side which contain an arrow design.
