Description

Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue wool, double cloth. Center seam joins two panels. Selvedges on either side. Hemmed top, fringed bottom. Central motif consists of blocks with large starbursts inside. Each starburst is decorated with a floral motif. Blocks are separated by narrow bands containing stylized floral motifs. At each intersection there is a scalloped circular motif with a flower at its center. The bottom border contains stylized trees, wheras the side borders consist of a line of buildings. Corner blocks contain the eagle logo of Samuel Graham.
