Description

Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue wool, double cloth. Center seam joins two panels. Selvedges on either side. Hemmed top, fringed bottom. Central motif consists of medallions with four lilies surrounding a diamond that has an eight-pointed flower at its center. Separating the lily medallions are diamond motifs are small sunbursts. Borders are along three sides and contain a repeating pattern of two eagles separated by stylized trees. Secondary borders have a diamond pattern. The corner blocks are on the lower corners have woven text below an arrow.
