Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and red, blue, light blue, and olive wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Center seam joins two panels. Hemmed on top, sides and bottom fringed. The central motif consists of medallions of four roses alternating with an eight-pedaled floral motif. The coverlet is woven with varying horizontal bands of color. Border is along three sides and has a meandering grapevine motif. Secondary borders contain diamonds with a "bulb" shape hanging from the upper corner of the diamond.Collection
