handwoven coverlet in a Tied Beiderwand style using bands of blue, red and green; blue bands are 9" wide, red are ca. 3.75" wide and green are 2.25" wide; two separate pieces joined with a center seam; center field consists of a Double Rose mostly in the blue yarns and an eight-pointed rosette and star pattern in the red and green yarns; inner border in a grapevine pattern and an outer border in a diamond and circle pattern; two corner blocks at lower left and right with weaver's name and town; the date woven in all four corners at border; fringe on two sides; top hemmed and bottom has short warp fringe
