Navy and natural geometric double weave coverlet with border on four sides. Two joined panels.
Attached to the dark side of this coverlet is a long inscription that reads: "The wool used in this coverlet was carded and spun in 1813 by Hepzibah Youngs Fordham aged nine. She died at the age of 83 in 1889. She was the grandmother of John Youngs Corwin. Who was the father of Ethel Corwin Youngs Ritter. The coverlet was woven by Jeremiah Van Piper [sic]."
