Figured Coverlet; undyed cotton and pink wool, double cloth. Selvedge on either side has a weft fringe; top and bottom edges are hemmed. Central motif in field is one non-repeating design with a central meadallion. Medallion is a stylized flower centering a starburst surrounded by a wreath of acorns and leaves. Each corner shows an eagle with a shield at its breast, holding arrows and an olive branch, with stars above its head. A flower sprig appears to the left and right of each eagle. The central area has a diapered ground. The central area is bounded by a plain border, a border of interlocking diamonds, and a wide floral border. A paisley motif appears in each corner. An additional diamond border appears outside the floral border and corner block at top and bottom.Collection
