Figured coverlet; undyed and blue cotton and blue, red, and green wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Sides are fringed, top and bottom are hemmed. Central motif includes large stars alternating with large scroll medallions. Design also contains large tulip and rose medallions interspersed throughout the center field. Varying bands of color run horizontally through coverlet. Border is a chain of stylized flowers framed by a zigzag pattern on top and bottom and a diamond chain on sides.Collection
