Description

Figured coverlet; undyed and blue cotton, compound weave. Selvedges on both sides; top and bottom hemmed. Central motif has no repeat and includes peacocks, pineapples, cornucopias filled with wheat stalks and fruit, two winged cherubs, each holding a different human face mask. Wide layered shell border frames central design on allsides. Attached to reverse lefthand side bottom corner is a white cotton label.
