Description

Figured coverlet; undyed and dark blue cotton and blue, red, and green wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Hems at top and bottom with bottom edge having a fringe added on. Sides are fringed. The central motif consists of a series of four rose medallions which are separated by rows of eight-pointed stars and flowers. A rose and thistle border is on the sides and bottom.
