Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue, red, and green wool, double cloth. Hemmed at top, fringed on sides and bottom. Central motif is a center medallion consisting of a rosette within a sunburst. The sunburst is surrounded by a wreath of flowers and scrolling leaves. The medallion is separated from the center field by a solid circular line. At each corner of the field is an emblem of an eagle carrying a shield and arrows and an olive branch in its beak. Border is of swirling ferns. Secondary border consists of stylized leaves. Horizontal bands of red, blue, and green form the pattern throughout the coverletCollection
