Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and red and olive wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Hemmed top edge, fringed sides and bottom. Central motif consists of pineapples and roses within a striped ground. Rows of pineapples designs alternate with spreading roses. Four rose leaves form a square and separates each motif from the other. The bottom border has an urn design with spread eagles above. The side borders continue the urn design with fruit and oak leaves.Collection
