Description

Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue wool, double cloth. Center seam joins two panels. Hemmed bottom with fringe applied, fringe also applied to sides. Top edge of coverlet is bound. Central motif consists of rows of stylized floral medallions alternating with a diamond shaped foliage motif. The floral medallion has eight petals and there are small flowers both inside the center and surrounding the petals. The corner blocks are a stylized floral motif. Border contains a zigzag and dot pattern framing a floral chain. On the left side of the coverlet the text is woven into the top edge of the bottom border.
