Figured coverlet; undyed and blue cotton and red, blue, and olive wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Center seam joins two panels. Top hemmed, bottom and sides fringed. Central motif consists of circular medallions within a striped ground. Each medallion includes four roses surrounded by a circle of two rows of small leaves. Secondary motifs include smaller fleurettes. The border is composed of three narrow rows. The design of the upper and lower rows includes birds, lilies, and a floral design. The middle row has a line of starbursts.Collection
