Description

Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue wool, double cloth. Center seam joins two panels. Selvedges on either side, hemmed top and bottom. Central motif consists of various shaped floral medallions with birds at the corners of the medallions. The medallions include large eight-petaled flowers as well as smaller flowers enclosed in a scalloped framing. Borders on three sides have large flowers with two smaller flowers and a bird on either side of the floral motif.
