Description

Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue wool, double cloth. Center seam joins two panels. Selvedges on either side; hemmed top and bottom. Central motif consists of medallions of four roses. Separating the medallions are a line of three small stars with a floral motif at each intersection. Borders on three sides have an eagle motif. The eagles are carrying a shield upon their breast and are separated from one another by a stylized tree.
