Figured coverlet; undyed and blue cotton and rose and gold wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Center seam joins two panels. Top edge hemmed, sides and bottom fringed. The central motif is composed of four roses which form a square and are flanked by leaves. The roses are separated from one another by stripes (both horizontal and vertical) and at each intersection there is a starburst motif. Border on three sides contains trees. A palm tree is placed on the upper side of a wavy line while a tree with three large leaves is below the wavy line.Collection
