Figured coverlet; undyed and blue cotton and red, green, and orange wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Hemmed top, fringed on three sides. Central motif is a center medallion of an eight pointed star surrounded by a sunburst which is encircled by six-pointed stars. There are spread eagles with breast shields at each corner. The top and bottom borders show an urn with cornucopias on either side. The side borders have lyres with a foliage design. Corner blocks also have a foliage design.Collection
