Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and red, green, and blue wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Hemmed top and bottom, with fringe sewn on three sides. Central motif is a center medallion of a large open petal flower followed by a daisy like flower with roses on either side. This is surrounded by grape leaves, grapes, and grape vines. On each corner of the center field is a cornucopia of flowers with an urn in between. Border on all four sides contains flowers, melons, and leaves. The flower and fruit theme continues in the two corner blocks on the lower edge.Collection
