Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and blue and red wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Center seam joins two panels. Selvedges on both sides; hemmed top, fringed bottom. Central motif consists of alternating horizontal bands of four rose medallions with medallions containing a rosette encased within a diamond shape. Connecting the medallions is a line of eight-pointed stars. Border on sides and bottom is of a repeating thistle motif. Secondary border has a honeycomb pattern.Collection
