Figured coverlet; undyed cotton and dark blue, blue, and red wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Center seam joins two panels. Hemmed at top, fringed on three sides. Central motif consists of rows of four rose medallions alternating with rows of starbursts. Horizontal bands of dark blue, blue, and red run through coverlet. Border has an eagle and tree motif, with corner blocks that contain two cornstalks and woven text. Secondary border has eight-pointed stars, with a double row on sides.Collection
