Figured coverlet; blue cotton and red wool, tied double cloth (Beiderwand). Coverlet is made up of two panels joined by a central seam. Selvedges on either side. Top and bottom hemmed with fringe attached to both sides and bottom of coverlet. Central motif of circular medallions with a central diamond. Secondary design of small medallions. Center panel has a spotted ground. Border on both sides and bottom of highly stylized flowers and trees. Corner block with woven text at each bottom corner.Collection
