Red, green, navy figured Beiderwand coverlet; self-fringe on three sides; rose border on three sides; 2 panels joined by a centerseam; double weave medallion centerfield. Philip Michael (born c. 1795) wove coverlets for over a decade in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. In 1849, he and his family moved to Indiana, after which he became a blacksmith.
