Two copies of a poem reprinted from Young Christian's Magazine: Lines, on the Death of Mrs.Geo. W. Shutt, No author noted. One copy (LIB2122-2) has a handwritten note: First Mrs. Shutt who was aunt of Virginia Osburn. Mary Osburn (??-1866), daughter of Joel and Massie Osburn, Loudoun Co., Va., married George Webber Shutt (1833-1893), also from Loudoun Co.and a descendant of Philipp and Anna Maria Breisch Shutt of Shepherdstown. They lived in Springfield, Ill. Mary Osburn Shutt had poor health and died in 1866 in Springfield. George Shutt then married Virginia Osburn (1842-1923), niece of Mary Osburn Shutt and daughter of Logan and Margaret Chew Osburn of Kabletown.
